What is the arrangement of the hardware sequence on the rear wheel of an Ezip500 electric scooter?

use a steering wheel puller

have you had a look on eBay for second hand or old stock being cleared.

This sounds like the electric/magnetic brake has locked.
I have a simmerler problem with my scooter & am trying to find a replacement.

Check under the wheel and inside the wheel case to see if someone's undies got stuck under there.

Also check to ensure any neutral/freewheel/ez move/ type levers are in the full "motor powers wheels" position.

That is strange because both rear wheels as they are connected directly to the trans-axle.I would block up the rear of the scooter so the rear wheels are off the floor, run the scooter,does it still squeak. If it does still squeak its probably the braking mechanism or the freewheel mechanism. I use allot of silicon spray in this area. I use my scooter outside allot, moisture gets into this area and can cause problems. I use pure silicon spray. WARNING; do not use WD-40, it will dissolve some plastics. Also wd40 gets sticky after awhile. Pure silicon spray wont harm anything and is EXCELLENT lubricant. Most scooters trans-axles are hard mounted to the frame, they have no suspension, maybe yours does have some sort of suspension, If it does spray all the joints with silicon. Hope this helps

Please check that there is no surface touching the tires of the scooter, second this can be some plastic on top of the wheels, also it could even be a harmless friction sound.

1. With a Phillips screwdriver loosen the two screws and remove the chain guard.
2. With a 10mm wrench loosen the brake cable anchor and disconnect the cable.
3. With two 8mm wrenches loosen the brake housing anchor and disconnect. (Keep the spacer and washers together.)
4. With a 10mm wrench loosen both axle adjusters an equal amount. (roughly five turns)
5. With two 17mm wrenches loosen the axle.
6. Push the wheel forward in the slots to loosen the chain.
7. Pull the wheel out. (Pay careful attention to the order the hardware is in there.)

Look at the rear of the scooter, make sure the Free Wheel lever is engaged
