How to download pictures from phone. How to just charge phone using the cable and not have it go to "download files"?

To download pictures there are many ways: 1. Internet (data charges may apply).(located on the Menu of your phone) 2. Computer Pictures (via usb cable)(need to install PC Suite software first) 3. Another phone who has a bluetooth or infrared feature ( these are some cool tools of our phone where we can transfer pics, music, data.. wirelessly) To charge the phone via cable: You need to have a computer and install the PC Suite software in CD that is in the box of the phone. After installation you can then enjoy transferring photos, music, data etc. Have Fun!

The ATT Z221 has a micro USB port for charging. IF you attach it to your computer it will charge the phone. There is no way to move the images off you phone unless you send them via email to your account. Even then, you must activate you Internet connection and email. It would be cheaper to buy a camera.

Motorola sells a software package for managing their phones, including the transfer of pictures and music from and to the devices as "Motorola Phone Tools". Data cables are included.

They charge an IMHO quite hefty price of nearly US$50 for the software.

If your computer does not have a card reader built in then you can get an external one from Walmart on online. If your phone charger cable has a USB end on it try using that cable on your PC. If it only charges the phone, get a similar cable that will pass data.

Downloading of pictures
How are you trying to connect your phone to computer?
Blutooth/cable/infrared?

I use Bluetooth which makes it easier without cables!
Start bluetooth on your phone and pc. Browse to the picture you want to send from your phone, choose send, via bluetooth and your computer should be in the list, choose that and voila, your computer start reciving.

I am trying to connect my phone to my computer to download pictures. I have the usb cable, but I can't get the software download from motorola to work.
I have a datacable also and it comes with an installer with it (CD), without it the datacable is useless...only to charge your phone it can be use. There's no such software to be downloaded from the internet as far as I know, I've look for it before but didn't find one.
U have to buy a new installer to run your cable, that's the only way I see for your problem. Tnx!
