How To Program An Intermatic PE15300 Pool Timer ?

I have a model #PE15300 Intermatic pool timer and I cannot figure out how to program this thing for the life of me. Its controlling a 2 speed hayward tristar pump and a pool sweep. Intermatics website is horrible for anything other than giving them money. This unit is only 14 months old so I'm hoping some info is still available. HEEEEEEEEELP !

How can i set up the time of the pool light in the a box model T10004R?

Typical T1000R series pool control center has space for 2 timers, and comes with one T104M 240Volt timer. Additional timer mechanism can be added to control lights, etc.

Copy following link for setting T104 series Intermatic clock, with link to wiring diagrams.
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/How-to-operate-and-set-T104-timer.pdf

Intermatic pool timers are extremely durable and versatile, and modular so they can be repaired almost indefinitely using ez-to-locate parts

Need trippers for older unknown model number amf paragon pool timer. timer is 15 - 20 years old

Paragon no longer makes timers or parts, except defrost timers.
Typically, defrost timers are not used for pools.
Open following link to possibly identify timer and tripper part number.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Paragon-timers-and-manuals.html

If you want a new timer for pools, Intermatic makes the T101 120Volt and T104 240Volt:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html

If you want T100 series timer with fireman's switch that turns off heater 10 minutes before turning off pump:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-timers-and-manuals.html#pool

If you have energy-saving 2-speed pool pump, and thermostat and pool light, then buy P1353 digital timer with enclosure. Enclosure and timer sold together as P1353ME.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-trippers-and-parts.html#P1353
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/PE100-series-with-P1353-timer.pdf
P1353 is not easy to wire or program for novice, so you can add a comment or repost question on fixya and I will catch it.

Purchased new intermatice pool timer and it will not turn pool on but will turn pool off.

Timer is not known.
Timer is probably not wired correctly, or on-off trippers are not on the dial.

My intermatic pool tmer will not set time or let me auto. turn to on so I can't filter or backwash pool

Problem points to electric power.

1) For best possible free answer, please add a comment and give model number that shows inside timer door.
This will give expert access exact manual for the equipment you have, and show what voltage you are working with.

2) You can also review Intermatic pool timer sell sheet, and pool timer site to help identify product:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Pool-and-spa-catalog.pdf
http://www.poolandspacontrols.com/products.aspx

3) If you have mechanical dial timer, see if manual override works.
And then check electric power.
Check circuit breaker.
Check if manual override works.

4) If you have P1353 digital electronic timer:
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/P1353ME-digital-time-clock-mechanism.jpg
P1353 digital electronic timers have auto setting.
Check programming.
Programming for P1353 is complicated, and longer than space allowed for free answer.
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Intermatic-P1353-manual.pdf
Programming starts on page 25, and you can add a comment about any specific part of manual that is confusing.

My model t12404r will not turn the pump off. Even if I manually move the switch to the off position, the pump keeps running. The only way to stop the pump is at the breaker box. The other timer in the...

I don't know if you have a 240V pump and 120V cleaner.
Or if both are 120V

T10000 series manual has troubleshooting
http://www.polytecpools.com/images/pdf/intermatic_t10000r.pdf

I specialize in timers.
If the manual override will not work and the circuit cannot be stopped by the timer:
Then the timer is bad.

To check for sure:
When pool pump is OFF, use tester and check voltage across terminals 1 and 2 on pump side
When cleaner is OFF, use tester and check voltage across terminals 1 and 2 on cleaner side

What test results show:
The cleaner side test across 1 and 2 should show no voltage when timer is OFF
The pump side test across 1 and 2 should also show no voltage when timer is OFF

If the pump side test across 1 and 2 shows voltage all the time, then the timer is broken.
There are no replacement parts for the internal on-off mechanism.

Polytec pools and spas sells the same timer for $215:

Add a comment if you need help wiring your new timer

You have what is called a 2-channel timer.
A single-channel timer can operate 2 or more Loads (pump, cleaner), but the Loads turn on-and-off at the same time.
A 2-channel timer has a clock (or digital program in the case of digital timers) so each Load turns on-and-off with a different schedule.

As a general rule, 2-channel timers are more expensive.
To avoid the higher price, you can replace a two channel timer with 2 ordinary timers.
Let me offer a replacement strategy that might save you money.
Keep the existing timer for the cleaner.
a) Buy Intermatic T-104R weatherproof timer if you have 240V pool pump.
b) Buy Intermatic T-101R weatherproof timer if you have 120V pool pump.
Here is a resource for the Intermatic timer I am suggesting:
The webpage has links to sellers, it has manuals and it has wiring diagrams for the do-it-yourself-er

Brand new Intermatic timer for pool, but it will not trip the pool ON...It does trip the pool OFF only??????

So you can turn the pool timer off using manual override.

The center dial is also turning.

These 2 things mean the timer is working fine, but you forgot to put the OFF tripper pins on the dial.

5def96a.jpg Picture shows Off tripper coming in contact with lever that clicks lights on and off. The lever is connected the manual override. So if manual override is working, then the lever is working.
