Question about Clarion VRX755VD Car DVD Player

Clarion PF-9695 car radio cassette that no longer works on radio.

I have a Clarion PF-9695 car radio cassette that was exposed to a power surge that resulted from auto mechanic attempting to charge open circuited battery in the car with a high power charger while radio was switched on. It no longer works on radio. Tuning controls, display,clock and cassette still work. Some hiss comes from speakers when volume is turned up indicating I.F. stages still work. Trouble is likely to be in converter stage. It is probably a shorted oscillator transistor or chip. I would like an opinion of my diagnosis and would like know availability and price of semiconductors for this unit. It is from 1995 Subaru Impreza.

My husband has a clarion ARX3170E RADIO CASSETTE COMBINATION in his car but is unable to get the radio working on it ..

If the radio is blank and no power then check all fuses......in fuse box and behind the radio unit!

Bought car second hand cannot get radio clarion arx4670 to work

Make sure that there is no code request on the set , if so you need to contact the dealer ot retireve from the system, check the manual if written inside the book.
If the set powers but there is no sound check the main power , switched power and speaker connections.

I cannot remove a Clarion ARB2170E car radio/cassette.

If you are using the tools designed for this, check that there are no retaining screws at the rear of the unit.

It depends on the type of Clarion Radio.

There are 2 types of Clarion Keys depending on the size of the removal slots in your radio ...the older , larger version or the later slim version.

Setting the clock:
1.Press and hold the Band Button (on the left of radio)and the Clock setting button (button No:4 on the right) to display the clock.
2.Press and hold the Band button and the Clock Setting button again for 2 seconds or longer for the clock display adjustment.
3.Press the SEEK UP Button (on the right of the radio with the arrows) to set minute.
4.Press the SEEK DOWN button to set hour.
5.Press the Band button to confirm the clock setting.
