Red line on TV screen.

I have a Dynex 19 in. LCD tv/dvd combo. There is a red line going down the middle of my screen that appeared from no where one day when I turned it on. Ive tried turning it on and off, unplugging it, changing the picture settings, and all the different inputs. Everything works okay, but nothing gets rid of the red line.

HI,
i think ur component video connection may inter changed. check it. are u connected red to red, green to green an blue to blue. if interchanged the picture will be black and white. also check the video system of ur tv and dvd.
about audio. for that u need a stereo rca chord. connect the audio output of ur dvd to the component audio input of ur tv. if u have already connected the audio cable , check the audio setup of ur dvd. there is selection for pcm audio select it and then check again.

A line has appeared across the bottom of the screen and also along the middle. the bottom line is white/red.blue and the middle line is mainly green

If your TV is still under guarantee then change it asap, if not you have a problem, the panel has failed, in very rare cases the lines will disappear when the set is at its maximum operating temperature, that said it will never be 100% again, sorry

Unfortunately you are right it is the display panel going bad. You can either live with it or buy you a new tv as the panels usually cost as much or more than the tv. Sorry.
