Streaking the copier has started producing copies that are streaked vertically w/ bands of lightness alternating w/ bands of darkness. And that is w/ the manual setting at the lightest it will go: if I used the 'auto' setting for copy lightness, the copies would come out basically black.

Hi

This sounds like it could be a charge corona issue, or an electrical issue. I would clean the corona units up first and see what happens.

If you are still having issues, I know there was an issue once where the black block at the back of the inside of the machine would deteriorate/crack allowing charge to ground. I think the black block makes contact with some connectors at the back of the transport belt unit. You have two electrodes that come down to meet a block in the bottom half.

How to fix olympus fe-340 streak and peaks verticaly when picture taken

Not sure you can fix this, but most of the time the stripes are produced in a dark environment with one or a few bright lights. The streaks start on the bright light. Most of the time if you shoot the picture the streaks are not on the picture.
You could try to switch the camera to the automatic, or perhaps night scene.
If the streaks are there in normal light, I think your camera is defect.

Pale copies and two vertical white streaks

Hi,
I'm afraid that regarding pale copies, you are better off checking your consumables (toner, fusers, etc) and then try talking to Toshiba. However, the vertical white streaks can be caused by excess ink and other contaminants on the inside of the printer. If you open the main door to both the printer and finisher (if fitted) and look at all of the visible runners, feeders and other handling devices, try to see if any of them line up with your vertical streaks on a page. If so, try manually rolling them and cleaning them thoroughly. This might help remove some of the streaking (it did on mine).
Hope this helps, Alistair

Hp Photosmart c5280 1/ 2inch thick black line

There is something on your scanner glass. Clean the glass with glass cleaner. If this happens when using the automatic document feeder, open the top side cover where the paper feeds into. There is a narrow glass strip there. Clean that as well.

If this fails, the scanner head has a bad sector on the CCD and will need to be replaced. You will probably find that it will be cheaper to replace the printer entirely if that is the case.

CLP-500 vertical streaks & a horizontal line with blotches appearing randomly

I've refilled the toner cartridges a few times now and never had a problem with vertical streaks until recently. I refilled both the cyan and magenta and when I ran the test page I had dark vertical streaks on both sides. I fiddled around cleaning things, running cleaning paper through, changing reset resistors but to no avail so eventually decided to buy a replacement refurbished cyan cartridge since the streaks looked mainly blue and bingo... well almost now I just have very light magenta streaks. The issue is obvious when I compared the old and new cartridge, the replacement toner is a much duller cyan and is of the wrong consistency since once it's been in the printer everything gets covered in it which is why I think it causes the banding to occur. I'm just trying to work out now whether to try refilling the magenta again (v. messy) or just go for another refurbished cartridge (£34).
