I have a Mitsubishi WS-65903 that's been used less than 30 times. On Friday it worked fine, however, when tried to turn it on last night... nothing. I can hear the power "click" and the green power light comes on yet there's absolutely nothing on the screen.

    Any ideas?

I'm pretty technically adept and, since I've been seeking possible solutions, I've read that often times it may be an issue with the circuit board... I have soldering tools.

Any insights and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I too have the same issues and it seems like this is worth more trouble than I thought...

My issue is when I hit the power button, I get a green light on the front for about a second then it turns off. No picture ever comes on... I'd like some help if anyone knows how to fix this.

There is a power supply problem. Your sweep is working but I bet you
that one of the supplies off of the sweep power supply went out.
Probably due to a defective capacitor, or perhaps the convergence amps
shorted and took out one of the supplies. You will need a service
manual as well as a multimeter to trouble shoot this TV set Good Luck

Red bulb is not aligned with other bulbs. I have a red shadow on everything. Doing the convergance makes it worse. Anything I do at home to fix this?

Normally I would not recommend this as I try to repair everything, no matter how hard or long it takes, but this series, WS has some serious problems with the DM and power supply boards which are not supported by Mitsubishi any longer. Odds are that if you could repair the convergence problem your next problem would be no picture and a flashing standby light. For the complexity and costs involved to try to repair this unit I would suggest that you seriously look at getting a new unit. If you do go for a new unit please buy the extended warranty. The new units are less reliable than the one you have and won't last half as long. It should be money well spent.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating and testimonial.

Ribbon appears on the screen of mit ws 65903

It may be a problem in the TV but can also be caused by a poor RF connection either at the back of the TV or the satelite receiver. That of course would not be an issue if you are connecting your satelite via a composite or component or HDMI input.
