What type of Laptop ? and operating system on it ?

Restoring your laptop to factory settings can take up to an hour to perform, depending upon the type of laptop and operating system on your machine. Press the "F8" key until the "Advanced Boot Options" screen appears. Select "Repair Your Computer" using the arrow keys. Press the "Enter" key. Choose your "Language," then "Next." Login with an administrator-level username and password. Click "OK. Select "Dell Factory Image Restore," then "Next." Tick the check box next to "Yes, reformat hard drive and restore system software to factory condition." Click "Next." Click on "Finish" after the computer has concluded the factory restoration. b> Restore on an HP b> Insert the HP recovery disk. Restart the computer, and press the "F11" key. Press the "F" key to "reinstall factory settings." If your computer's operating system is damaged, you may only see "perform a full system recovery" as an option. In this case, press "R." Insert any disks if prompted by the restoration program. Otherwise, permit the computer to restart as needed. b> Restore Via Disks (Generic) b> Insert the "Recovery Disk" or "System Recovery Disk." If you have more than one disk, make sure you insert "Disk 1" or "Part 1." Press any key to boot from CD if prompted to do so. Choose a "Full System Restore," "Restore Factory Settings," or another option worded similarly. Confirm that you want to perform the restoration. Press "Next," "Yes," or "OK," as needed. Aspire one keep saying no bootable device insert boot disk and press any key and I don't have a disk slot

You hard drive is missing from the system. Or, just does not recognize it. The obvious - Remove any USB devices like drives and any media from disc player. Its trying to load, but can't find bootable hard drive, CD, or USB... Remove the hard drive and reseat (reconnect). Check BIOS by pressing an F key during boot. Look on the screen for correct Function key. Might be F2 key. Verify BIOS recognizes the drive. It must be listed! There is no going forward if it's not. Check boot order and make internal hard drive first. Save and restart.

Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS then using the arrow keys navigate to advanced bios features press enter change your first boot device to cd press escape then press f10 to save to cmos restart

or if you are using a USB
insert your usb drive

click start right click on my computer select open you should see your USB drive

I need help

Go into your bios, with whatever button it tells you to push. In there, look for anything that resembles Startup... Theres alot of menus I know, just use the arrow key to look through.... Once u see the start up menu, make sure the Harddisk is 1st (or in some bios, it has to be at the top of the list). To do this, there is a legend at the bottom (or top) of the screen that tells you which each computer key does for these menus. Use this, then, once its 1st (or at the top) of the other options, (other options being cd/dvd, usb, floppy, etc, varies computer to computer), push the save and close key (which again, is on the legend). Tell me if this works please>.<
