are you trying to use the speaker system on your tv? or are you trying to get sound from your tv to your surround system? you will need audio patch cables!
sound from your tv to surround: line out on tv to line in on surround
sound from your surround to your tv: line out on your surround to line in on your tv
Try the Technics SH-AC500D Digital Surround Processor. Its outputs should match the inputs on the RX-V2090. I own both units, though I am using a DDP-1 with the Yamaha receiver. I use two separate amps with the Technics to achieve surround sound using my good vintage stereo system (two of them actually - one for front and ane for rear). The Technics is a nice piece of kit.
Hi! The problem is, that your SH-AC300 needs an amp with 5.1 input (but no decoder). For this purpose technics delivered SA-AX710. So if you'd like to use your current equipment it would be impossible. The only option is for you to buy 2 more Power Amps (SE-A900S), so that each of 3 amps would take care for one part of music. (one for FL, FR; one for RL, RR; and one for sub and center). Another option is for you to buy SA-AX710. Then all the problems would be solved with it.
