How to unlock aspire 3000

After formating harddisc , I could not start two green ligt flash witd lock symbol

Go to:

Start

Control Panel

Click on : User Account

Click : Computer Administrator

This will get your computer unlocked, Good Luck .

I use http://www.unlockbiosrecovery.com/Unlock_Acer_HDD.php when I need to unlock an Acer HDD or Acer Bios, they only charge $20 and guarantee it.. Repairing laptops I get one or two a month that is locked with bios password or hard drive password.and they have always worked unlocking them.

Flash and USB drives usually have either a mechanical switch or software that can lock the drive.
If your drive has the switch, slide it to unlock. If it is software, follow the instructions in the help file on the drive. The drives are not supplied locked by software.
If the Flash Drive has been locked using Bitlocker, the only way to unlock it is to input the password set at the time it was locked, as with software locks.

My 2gb genx usb flash drive cannot be format it says write protect.any solution for this error?

Check if there is a small switch on the side of the USB drive (might show a lock and unlock symbol). If there is not and the drive came with no driover software and a utility to unlock, it is possibly faulty

hello there's a couple of things that could be wrong .the high pitch noise could be the convegance chip shorted out these are 2 big black chips connected to a metal frame called a heatsink the other could be the lamp burn't out

Toch pad locks up at startup, but work fine in safe mode on acer Aspire 3000

Try pressing Fn+ F9 to unlock the Touchpad

If that doesn't work try reinstalling touchpad as new hardware.
Start-
Control Panel-
System-
Hardware-
Device Manager-
Mice and other pointing devices
click +
right click and delete touchpad-
Reboot

Acer 5315 recon harddisc security password required

Hello,

Bad news, someone has set the hard drive security option. The hard drive is hardware locked and can't be unlocked without the password. Not even putting the hard drive in another machine will bypass the security. You can send the drive to hitachi repair in Dallas, Tx. for recovery but it is very pricey.

My son's saturn ion 2 ,2004 would not start and a symbol warning ligt that has a picture of a car with the picture of a lock over the car shows up . What does this warning sysmbol mean?

passlock symbol.... The ignition switch is faulty... very common on the ion 2003 to 2006.... new design switch in 07

Hi, I'm not sure if that is a built-in feature of the Aspire 3000 (AS3004WLCI) but not in your Aspire 5634WLMI but I think that it is an add-on software utility. You may want to try this http://www.nonags.com/nonags/emn.html. It offers freeware E-Mail Notification software flashing scroll-lock light. Hope this works for you. Please let me know how things turn out. Regards.
