Ok so I'm guessing it's detecting it's a bootable CD since it is prompting you to "press any key to boot from CD" right? If it goes to a blank screen after that and doesn't go any further, I would think it's 1 of 3 things.
1, the CD you are using is bad or damaged. Try a different bootable CD or try to burn a copy of that one and try with the new copy.
2, Could be a memory issue. If you have multiple sticks of RAM in your computer, try removing 1, testing, then the other (while replacing the first one you removed).
3, Your Hard drive could be corrupt or damaged. I would first try wiping it clean with a program like Darik's boot and nuke (
http://www.dban.org/). THIS WILL DESTROY ALL DATA ON THE HARD DRIVE. Then try to re-install again.
