SOURCE: How do you open a BENQ MP610 projector to replace the light? What tool do you use? Thanks Marty

I just replaced my lamp for the same beamer. Took me a while to figure out how, but if you know how, it is easy. Turn the beamer on its back. In the middle, you will see a black rubber (small), it covers a hole and a screw is in the whole. Pull the small bblack rubber out. Unscrew the screw. A small cover will come loose. And there is the lamp, You have to pull out the power cable, and than only one little screw that mounts the lamp to the inside of the beamer.

It's easy!
Hope you will succeed,

Benq MX761 stays on for only 2 minutes and then shuts down after genuine Benq lamp replacement. Picture flickers colour just before shutdown. Lamp timer has been reset to zero.

Many LED TVs and other electronics have bad capacitors on their power supply boards. You can visually inspect them by opening the TV and looking for capacitors with bulging tops. If you see any, replace them all in the power board section. Check to see if your TV is still under warranty first though.

Hi, before going the power supply route check that all screws around it are tight, also check the lamp cover if it is in properly. It may be that the switches(sensors) for covers are sensing an open cover. If you are comfortable with testing you can test the switches first by pressing them and checking for continuity. I hope this helps.

My niece squeezed an object into my Benq DLP W100 projector and now it is manfunctioning. I think it would be a simple solution if I could only open the unit. How to do that however. I removed all the...

I got the same projector and have had to take it apart a few times, they are not to hard to open

There are 5 (not inc the projector cover screw) screws to remove from the bottom of the projector (A long neck philps screw driver will be needed). Once these are removed The top will be loose apart from catching midle of the front and at the back, This is down to the top being clipped in the middle.

Remove the grey panel round the connectors, one sreew and the 2 plug fixing nuts around the DVI Port. Once these are removed pull the panel away from the projector, pulling from the midle of the panel as its cliped to the side. Once remove lift the top of the projector roateing it around the front

Hope this helps
