#1) On my camera if there was a picture that got stored in the internal memory it would not reconize the sd card nor store the pictures on the sd card. I would have to take the sd card out and delete the pictures in the internal memory and then reinsert the sd card.
#2) Some how or other the files that were on the sd card would get scrambled on the sd card when I would try to erase them. I would have to reformat the sd card back to a "fat" format before it would work again.

The SD card has a lever on the side of it. Move it to the other position. That is to prevent accidental erasing.

Then you have a faulty SD Card slot , maybe the switch inside it is stuck and cannot detect that the card is open.

  • Anonymous Oct 23, 2012

that is what I found.. I inserted a tooth pick several times into the slot and both of my cameras started to work fine , you can also get 1 GB cards at OEMPC World.com for $3.35 each .happy hunting !! Moultrie offered to sell me "new D60 etc '.. because the old ones "could not be fixed !!"

I have a Nikon D5300. I can see the photo count number increasing, but I cannot view the images and they are not going on the SD card. Where are they? The SD card is not full.

many small Nikon cameras have memory to store images ON THE CAMERA. If you have a memory card installed that the CAMERA CAN READ it will put images on the card. if the memory card is corrupted the camera will not use it.

First Backup all IMAGES on Memory Card to COMPUTER make sure you saved ALL images. This is IMPORTANT.

After you SAVED all images you PUT Memory card back in camera and FORMAT it (Format is in TOOL Menu that looks like a wrench)

Now if you can take an images and it saves to memory card you are done. To see if they go to MEMORY CARD. Turn off camera and remove MEMORY CARD and Check.

If it STILL does not work you may have a defective memory card.

When trying to take a picture or record a movie, the screen is a solid light pink.

try an sd card from another source. the format function of the camera should be used to prepare the sd card for the camera before you take pics with it. this may be a format issue with nintendo. format will erase all images on card, so save them first somewhere else.

S6000 not saving one picture, then locking up

Your SD card may have a greater capacity than the camera can handle - check the max size in the manual.

Camera locks up with SD card

Put the SD memory card into an USB card reader and plug the card reader into the USB port of a working computer to check if the memory card is working.
If the computer cannot detect the memory card as an external storage device and cannot open the files or folders and it cannot be formatted in FAT32 then the SD memory card is faulty and needs to be replaced..

I have saved all my pictures on my computer, but now the camera is saying the card is locked and I can not delete them from the SD card to clear it. The lock is not on on the SD card, I don't want to...

try this remove SD card from camera, put it into a SD USB converter, use this on the PC and Format the SD card FAT16, this should remove all data. return SD card to camera, the camera may then want to format the card itself, if so this is all OK.
Also ensure that the little protection switch, on the SD card if there, not all have one, is set correctly... toggle it if there.

Cannot download pictures from phone to computer

The easiest way to transfer pictures from a cell phone to a computer without incurring addtional charges is to transfer the pictures to a mini SD card and then insert the SD card into your PC. If you will tell me what kidn of phone you have, I can try to find the directions for where to install the mini SD card and how to transfer the pictures. At that point, you can also set the camera to automatically save the pictures to the SD card to save yourselves steps next time. : )

Just put a new memory card in the camera but the screen keeps showing internal memory is full

How to switch the camera over to saving pictures directly onto the SD card.
    1. Menu
    2. Cam settings
    3. Chose AUTO or SD card option and Press OK
Note: If the SD card isn't in the camera or is unreadable the camera will automatically go back to saving you taken pictures on the internal memory.

If you still experience problems:
The lever on your SD card might be turned the wrong way so the SD card is reading protective.
Please turn the lever and try again.

The SD card might not be supported by the model: Your camera Memory card support is SD/MMC up to 1 Gigabyte

The SD card might not be faulty, try another card, since the camera could give you a message like the one you're experiencing.
Try with a different SD card that is supported by the camera.
After you having successfully switched over to saving onto the SD card. I would guess that you would like to transferre the pictures from your internal memory over to the SD card.:

No pictures when SD disk is out of camera

Before you do anything else find a friend who's camera takes the same memory card and try it in their camera. If it doesn't work there try cleaning the contacts gently with a pencil eraser (make sure you remove any rubber pieces left behind) There is a locking mechanism on the side of the SD card. Make sure this isn't locked. If everything still fails it looks like you could have a faulty SD card. Borrow one to try to see if the fault in the camera disappears. This camera has 32 MB of internal memory. Are you sure your pictures aren't being stored there. Read your manual and you can find out how to transfer them to the SD card once you've proved the card is working. Also check your SD card in a card reader and if there's still any problems pop it back into the camera and format it. BMW
