Re: video calling, MMS and internet
Jade, try going to http://www.virginmobile.com.au/en_au/VirginMobile/The%2BVibe/Get%2BSet%2BUp/
(if the link doesn't work go to www.virginmobile.com.au, then choose "The Vibe"/Get Set Up from the menu at the top)
then selecting Samsung from the dropdown box, submit, then U700 from the next drop-down box then submit, then select which service you want to set up. The correct settings will be sent to your phone as an SMS - just select "save" when you view the SMS.
if it still doesn't work, you'll need to ring Virgin customer service to ensure your account is enable for the right services.

On your Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos go to Settings, select More under data usage then select Mobile networks then select Access Point Names.
Press menu, after select new APN, type your network settings(from your operator), press menu after you are done and then Save.
Enable your mobile internet and enjoy.
Alternative way. Download an application from Google Play Store like
Tweakker APN INTERNET MMS After that 1. Select your operator or provider 2. Select your subscription or plan 3. Tweakker sets up Internet & MMS APN on its own and you are done! Enjoy your mobile Internet!
You either have no data plan or your phone's WAP/internet settings are incorrect.
Can you browse the web on your phone? Send MMS (picture/video messages)?
A quick call to your carrier is all it takes to get them to send the settings to your phone. They can also run you through step by step what the settings are.
Hi the problem you are having is with the mms settings, all you need to do is contact your service provider and ask them to send you the latest mms and wap settings, they will send you these for free via text message and this will then update your phone to the correct settings.
they dont charge for this service so give them a call
Hi, this is a very common problem and it usually happens when you have just brought a phone or if you have changed the sim card for one from another network.
to solve this problem all you need to do is contact your service provider and tell them what phone and that you need the latest mms settings sent to your phone, also ask for internet settings if you are unsure if your settings are correct, your service provider will send the settings via text message these messages will then ask you to press update once you select update it will then store these new settings on your phone. Your service provider wont charger for this service and the text are free also so its not going to cost you anything, you can also sometimes send the settings to your phone yourself from your service providers web site, how ever not all service providers off this feature so you would need to check.
Once your phone has the new settings you will be able to send and receive mms pictures and videos, the settings will tell your phone the correct format to store and send the mms messages and it will then be all working for you.
Their is no other way of updating your phone without having the settings sent to your phone so try their web site or give them a call if their is no option on their site to send the settings yourself.
try to check the settings of the phone. see if you have call barring for incoming activated
~ call settings
~ voice call
~ call barring
~ make sure all incoming calls is set to DEACTIVATED
you can also try to check if call divert is also set
~ call settings
~ voice call
~ call diverting
~ make sure always is set to DEACTIVATED
hope that helps.. :)
i had the same problem, but i called my service provider (in my case, Vodafone) and they talked me through the settings. (they can also send u an sms which you download and gives you correct settings for PXT and to connect to the net.
If your phone is unlocked and from say from hongkong go on to the network website your sim is working with. Mine was vodafone and you configure your settings there like pxt mms emails internet access. Heres the link : http://wireless.vodafone.co.nz/phonefirst
