Question about iLO (2 GB) MP3 Player

Crappy "Easy-Start Disk" for ilo mp3 player (2gb)

Over and over have I tried to get this disk to work for me. Still, it has the upper hand. It keeps telling me that my system requires an updated version of this so-called "Easy-Install Disk", and advises that I go online for an updated disk. Well, the link it sends me to seems to have absolutely nothing to do with my problem. What do I do?

I just bought my iLo 2gb mp3 player today and it does the same thing. It says on a piece of paper that if you have Windows 98SE as an operating system that you need such and such. My point being, I have Windows XP Home Edition, not Windows 98. I can't get an upgrade either. I've tried to find an iLo website to download from, but the other paper says that if you have problems to go to sirensplayer.com and that's for a different player. Help please!! Thx

When i turn on my mp3 it says something

Unfortunately you have to reformat your mp3 player. This is how you do it and it will erase all data you have on there. You have to start over with loading the music etc...

1. Double-click My Computer on the Windows Desktop or in the Start Menu.
2. Locate the Removable Disk (X:) or Player (X:) icon that is associated
with the player. (X: equals the drive letter assigned to the ILO player.)
3. Right-click the Removable Disk (X:) or Player (X:) icon.
4. Click Format….
Reformatting your ILO player will result in the deletion of all tracks and
settings on the ILO player.
5. If you are sure you want to reformat your player, click Start.

Just plug it in, and let Windows XP load the drivers. You don't need the CD.

Disk error!

1) Disconnect from computer, turn it off, hold in volume + button and reconnect it to your computer - continue holding volume + until the Found Hardware Wizard comes up.

2)
REFORMAT FOR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER - Erases Everything: Connect your iLo player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "ILO 2GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything, and give you a fresh start.
