I found this error. The simple possible resolution is to reset the circuit breakers feeding this unit and/or replace possible blown fuses. Other possible problems may be too involved therefore a professional should be hired. Just a warning, this problem could get expensive.
Check for a blown brake light fuse if no fuses are blown check your brake light switch I believe one of the 2 will be defective and will solve your problem if this was helpful please leave good feedback
I think it may be a blown fuse.... My unit is doing the same thing except I'm not getting an error code on the display. I opened the unit and checked the fuse, it was definitely blown. I have to wait till tomorrow to get the new fuse to see if that fixes the load beeping and the non-responsive display.
A E004 deals with the fuser unit. Have you looked at the Thermister or the thermal fuse or the fixing lamps? I would say that most likely you have a blown or shorted thermister. One of the wires may have come off the pcb.. I you want to see the error code, I believe it is under *6* counters... *4* is for resetting the code
Yes , just find the blacken fuse
or if none appear to be black ,look
very closley at the fuses and you
should be able see the broken wire
inside the glass houseing pull it
take it to raido shack replace it done.
Hope they didnt charge too much.
A H4 code is a fuser error code. It means the fuser is not warming up correctly. I believe you must fix the problem before the code will clear. It is most likely the fuser heating lamp is blown or it looks like a candy cane. It may also be the thirmal fuse or thirmister.. Good Luck
In some cases you can reset the C 6000 - when is a false error.
1. Go to Menu/System and browse till you see
press and hold: # START ENTER
The "Service" will go away and browse to "Maintenance".
2. Press ENTER to go in maintenace mode - the display change to Maintenance mode.
3. browse to 0163 and press ENTER - reset fuser
4. pick EXECUTE and press ENTER
5. turn the copier OFF, wait 20 seconds and power up the machine.
If C 6000 goes away it was a false error if NO ...try again and if the C6000 persist means the thermal fuse it is blown so you have to replace the fuse = call for service.
