Mac reformatted MP3 player was showing that only 1.33G were available, even after deleting all files from it. Reformatted with a Macbook Pro to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) through the Disk Utility Application. Refilled my MP3 player with songs, afterwards. And NOW, it says "EMPTY" when I try to use it. HELP!!

MP3 players expect an MS-DOS (or FAT) format.

They do not read Mac formatted memory.

Reformat the MP3 player to MS-DOS format (your files will be deleted, so back them up if necessary) and the player should read the memory once more.

SOURCE: dat file

first you should try and locate the files on the mp3 player all the music and whatever else is on there and back it up to the hard drive, then goto the rca website and find the latest firmware for your player and download it and reload the firmware that should get everything back to factory defaults

How can I put music on Sansa MP3 player from Macbook Pro?

Not to sure about a mac but I think mac's use a mp4 format when it rips a cd, and the Sansa will use a mp3 file. You can download a free program to convert these files but again, I know where for a PC but not a mac. Look for free mp4 to mp3 converter program for Mac..

Speedo Aquabeat is not recognized by my Macbook Pro

I plugged my aquabeat into my mac. It mounted and I deleted all the files onto it. Then, I copied a bunch of mp3 files onto it. The device registered as full and wouldn't let me add any more files even though the info window said there was 250 MB available but this was wrong or misinterpreted by the device. I couldn't make it work. I found there was insufficient capacity for the operational files to be built on the device. I deleted one of the mp3 files to free up space then ejected it which caused it to be unmountable on the mac - it wouldn't turn on at all. I pressed the reset button and it all came to life and now it works as advertised. The device needs to create a bunch of work files for it to start. I believe that it really was out of space and could not create the work files. When I deleted the mp3 it freed up enough space so the work files could be created, but it was frozen. The reset caused the work files to be created and all was well.

My Sansa e280 is "recognized" in Windows media player but it shows no files even though it is half full. So I can't delete files from WMP! I can't seem to have any luck in either computer I use and I've...

This player supports two different USB modes. If the songs were added with the other method, you need to use that other method to delete the songs. Read up on it. Common headache, easy solution.

SanDisk MP3 Player c250 2 gb

You have to make sure the USB Mode is in MSC for it to have a prayer of working, but generally this player is not really Mac compatible - manual aside

Can't download music - says device full

Easy fix, just did it. Talked to Oakley customer service. If your using a MAC when you delete the files off the Thump Pro, you must empty the trash. For some reason, with MAC the files are masked into the trash, so unless you empty nothing is going to change. Mine worked perfectly when I did this, after days of frustration. Good luck.

I have a SanDisk Sansa m200 mp3 and a macbook pro

Even on a Macbook pro, you should be able to access your "my computer" option, where it shows you the local disk drives and everything. your mp3 player icon should appear there. then after you click on the icon it should bring up a page containing folders "on" your mp3 player. there doesnt have to be any music or videos or anything like that to have the folders already on there. now i dont have a mac but what i suggested you to do should work.

WHo knows what the Mac may have done. Try changing the USB setting from Auto to MSC.

File System Error?!

I have the 4GB version (non-FM) and it's having the same issues. I reformatted mine to the NTFS filing system in hopes of uploading my songs faster since these players run on FAT32, but reformatting it to any file system other than FAT32 will cause it to give a File System Err notice on your player. I would suggest reformatting it to FAT32 using your computer. There are resources available everywhere online that shows you how to do this.

No space left even though all files deleted

format your player but make a back up of your music.
