Can I use the helio ocean for cricket service or is this a scam???

as long as its does not have a sims card it should be flashable to crickety

An Ocean on Cricket cant be flashed for picture text because Cricket uses MMS and there is no MMS Client in the Binary of the firmware on Helio phones because Helio phones use a different server-type to transmit their data. They use a MMSC/PictureMail based client. However a good flasher/tech can flash Internet/WAP on that Pantech Ocean.

did u sign up for a service plan?
There is no SIM card slot for the Ocean, there is a slot for a memory card to store pictues and files, but not for a SIM card. You will have to call virgin mobile/helio to start a service plan or get an unlock code to use it with MetroPCS or another CDMA provider.

When you go into the Gmail part of the inbox, under settings->general enter your username and password

then choose menu->send/receive

if you have done this and still have had no luck,please let me know what errors you are getting or the specific problem u have

It can NOT be fully flashed. I used to work for cricket. You will not get anything but calls and text. that is it. If you receive or try to send a pic message it will scrable your flash and your phone will start to power off automatically when you try to use it! You have an option to disable pic messaging, but as I discovered today, if you send an MMS from a cell phone instead of an SMS it will do the same thing, scramble your flash and your phone will power off after being on for a few seconds. Shop around for a Motorola Z6M. Great features for a cricket phone. OR the LG EnVY is a great phone to flast to cricket. It has the keyboard and I have NEVER had and issue with a FULL flash on that one. Happy hunting, try craigslist.org

no..you cant unlock it at all..your just going to have to get a cricket or boost..OC phone have a locking on the web and pic java program to were fly genie is unaccessable..

no such thing as "helio cricket" lmao! you got to flash the phone over to cricket. why would you want to do that to our poor phones anyway? all the features from helio are USELESS when flashed over to cricket. save your money and get a real Helio plan.
