I have just noticed the problem is posted under the HBL Electric single oven section, but to confirm the problem is with a HBN 91 Electric Double oven. The display is so dim that I cannot see or set the timer. I assume there is now brightness adjustment on the display module? Do I need to replace the display module and how difficult would that be?I have just noticed the problem is posted under the HBL Electric single oven section, but to confirm the problem is with a HBN 91 Electric Double oven. Yes you can oil the shaft...but the problem is within the bearing itself. You might be lucky and only have to oil it once...but chances are your bearing will sieze again...I suggest you remove and replace the fan.
Not sure about your model but I have a bosch hgs7152uc model. I found that removing two screws and the metal panel in rear of the stove (at top where display is) will provide access to the control panel. There are four screws holding the display circuit panel in place. Two of the screws were not tight which allowed the circuit panel to move backwards when pressed. Tightening all four screws made the display operational again. The screws had lock tight on them but apparently they came loose anyhow over time
Sure this is the failure off the unit but make sure that the step down transformer for the power to the unit is faulty or burnt. If so replace the transformer. If power goes tto unit without display then the processor can be faulty . Change the clock timer. unit if you need the timings.
I replaced the C3 capacitor on the circuit board and works fine. This was mentioned in a prior post and took 5 minutes and was under $5.00 for the part.
you have the oven on automatic in error. switch off at mains. leave for 5 mins. turn on, consult your handbook on how to set clock and having done this, bet it works
