THE COPPER CORE OF THE MAINS FLEX/CABLE IS LIKELY SNAPPED INSIDE THE INSULATION (USUALLY NEXT TO THE PLUG (IF YOU'RE LUCKY) OR NEXT TO THE MACHINE AS THESE ARE THE 2 BITS THAT MOVE/FLEX MOST). TEST THE CABLE (ALL 3 EARTH LIVE & NEUTRAL) WITH A CIRCUIT TESTER. IF BROKEN BEST TO REPLACE THE WHOLE CABLE BUT IF YOU CAN IDENTIFY THE BREAK YOU CAN CUT OFF A SECTION AND REFIT THE PLUG.
Thanks Gordon, they have now replaced the cable and machine has now got power, although the door light is flashing and the other 2 or also flashing but not as brightly as the door light. Can't start a cycle either. Just sits there!

It's possible that the arcing cable has caused power surge damage to some of the circuitry. Also could be in the middle of a cycle and a bit lost. i don't know where to go from here. Perhaps switch it off for a while set everything to zero/ off and try again?

i am a recently retired engineer of 20 years, but this sounds like (based on the info given) a heater element fault, after the machine fills up and agitates a few times the heater should start, check the heater for open circuit, replace if needed, of course it just could be a wire off? if i have helped rate me please

you will need to unplug the machine at the mains, give it two minutes and the auto door lock will release your duvet, however start saving the pennies as your pcb is knackered and you'll be looking at about £200 to fix it

Hi there. I have an old model, the indesit WM12. Never counted the flashing light (yours was 10) but my dial started clicking constantly at the drain part. I called Idesit and they told me it was a blockage in the filter.
The filter they speak of it located, on mine, at the front of the machine at the very bottom on the right. It is a black dial about 3 - 4 inches in diameter. Unscrew that anti-clockwise (a real pain because so much water comes out. My wife and I unscrewed it, filled a baking tray with water, screwed it back up, emptied / substituted tray then same all over again - until empty. Though putting it on drain again and again helped at same time). When I pulled out the filter found a 'colour catcher' sheet in it. We used them first time ever the other day. Removed that, gave filter a wee clean and, hey presto, all is working again. Hope that helps. Jim

Hi, sounds like you need to change the door interlock located where the door catch pushes into.
Take the top off and undo the two screws with a tork screwdriver
and replace.
(Remember to turn off the supply and pull out the plug top)

It is a defectiv controller pcb. I think the eeprom on the controller pcb lost its program (happens often on Indesit machines).
The only solution I know is to change the controller pcb, - not a cheap solution.
I have the same problem with WIDL 106.
