How to connect usb conection from my data one "UT-300R2U" modem to compaq laptop.we have usb cable and driver cd but drivers are not installed in my laptop.plz give me the complete solution for this problem.

    Did u try installing the driver, if u have wat is the error messsage u get, if not try and tell me what u see.Also type cmd in either "search" or "run" under start. and type "ipconfig" in the black window and give me the results exactly as they appear as i can help you out with that much better.

If you are using Windows Xp, just connect the modem using USB/LAN it will be automatically detected & software for it will be installed. Then you can just set up a connection, put in your username & password, done.
If you are using Windows Vista / Windows 7, modem in LAN mode will be installed automatically like XP, but not in USB mode. Because there's no USB driver for UT300R2U (BSNL modem) in Vista. You need to find a ZTE Remote NDIS device driver, install it & then you can connect. Hope this will fix your problem.

If you can get the GPRS connection:

To activate the modem you install a USB data cable, install the driver to your laptop (from the Motorola website)

Then goto control panel->network places->create new connection->click connect to internet->click dail up modem->then ISP name->further setting!

Make sure you have installed the USB data cable and Driver correctly in your laptop,

Modem driver for mac
DataOne is the BSNL's broadband services trademark, not the modem company's name. Just below the Data One name you will have the modems model no eg: UT-300R2U or so, Post back with this details, If you are connecting thro the network cable you dont need any drivers, you just have to configure the modem. if you are using the usb cable, you have to install the software driver that came with the modem cd. I can help you, just post the model of your modem as i requested.
