    I BOUGHT MY GARMIN 310 FROM THE BUY AND SELL .IT WAS FINE FOR THE FIRST 3 DAYS NOW ASKIN FOR PIN / SECURIETY LOCATION IT ALWAYS DID ASK FOR PIN BUT WHEN I OPEN THE FLAP UP ON THE BACK IT WOULD AUTOMATICALLY COME ON I TOUGHT THE PIN WAS NOT ORIGINALY SET AND WAS A SECURITY OPION FOR ME.I CANNOT GET IN TOUCH WIT THE PERSON I BOUGHT IT AND DONT NO WAT TO DO.

Only way to have the unit unlocked is to enter the correct PIN # or take the unit to the area where the PIN was set and it will auto-unlock. Last option is to send the unit to Garmin. More info can be found here:

your computer must have Garmin USB drivers installed. Go to Support at Garmin.com. Download and install, then connect your Quest.

Garmin quest batteries
I have seen replacement batteries for the Quest GPS units on Ebay. Search for "Quest Battery" or "Quest GPS Battery". You may need to narrow your search but that will point you in the right direction. Another source is Batteryship.com. I have bought several batteries from them and have found their service outstanding.

"Detail maps Don't Support Routing" in Garmin Quest
I too have a Garmin Quest and yesterday felt like throwing it against the wall because of the above problem. I found the solution eventually. When you download the maps from the Garmin Maps page, where you select the maps download, make sure that the checkbox to "Include route calculation data" is ticked before downloading your maps. Also make sure that the total memory required for the number of maps selected does not exceed the available memory on your Quest. If you try to fit more information into your Quest than it can receive then you are bound to have some problems. The Quests seems to have different memory specifications. According to the USA spec the memory is only 128mb, the Garmin site says 115mb and the box that my Quest came in says that it has 243mb.

www.batteryship.com. Look on the screen for "GPS Devices". Click on that and it will take you to a page of pull down menus. Find the Garmin menu and just look for "Quest". Battery is about $25.
