what you need to do is this. i cant help you if you have a mac but i can help you if you have a pc. for pcs, you need to plug in your player.once its connected, double click "my computer".in it, the player should have registered and their should be an icon that says "sandisk sansa e260" ( or something like that, i couldnt exsactly tell you considering my player is completely busted at the moment.)then you should see a bunch of files.the files will include album art, songs, and folders for videos or pictures.in the pictures folder you can access your pictures, and right click on the files you wish to delte, and simply just...hit delete.

I agree with the above suggestion. Try setting the USB Mode under "Settings" on "MSC" on the Sansa. My computer would not recognize the e260 when the mode was set to "MTP"; works fine on "MSC".

you should just leave the power button pressed for 10-15 sec.and it should turn off

This MIGHT fix the problem: Make sure that Windows Explorer is set to show hidden files and folders. In Windows XP, click TOOLS, FOLDER OPTIONS, VIEW and make sure you have selected "Show hidden files and folders".

I've changed my Sansa USB modes both ways and they still dont work. I dont understand why. This has happened to me before, and its really annoying.

Usually answered in minutes!
when your elbow touched it, did it snap and put a static charge in the device?
If so you may have fried your device.
here is what I would try.
remove the battery and let the device sit for an hour.
reinstall the battery and see if it comes on. the sansa device should
have a removable battery.
Also, I would suggest not playing it on a dock, sometimes the docks will fry your main board without warning.
