Setting up an OKI printer on an IMAC

Hi All
I am trying to setup a OKI C5250 onto a IMAC over the network.

The IMAC has MAC OS X 10.5

I have tried contacting OKI and no luck getting hold of their support.

There are no drivers for the OKI on their site to install.

I want to connect to a OKI printer that is on my network. The network is a home network.

I have tried setting up the printer using IPP and when you print to the OKI, it just fails to print and the OKI goes offline.

All ideas are welcome

The only way to get it to work was to buy an airport and then the imac was able to print to the oki

Without mac drivers you do have a problem. Put it on ebay and get another printer that supports mac and windows.

Why can't I use a toner and drum set from an OKI c5250 in an OKI c5200

While the drum units may appear the same, chances are Okidata puts a different chip on it that makes in incompatible. The C5200 will use drums from a C5150. The C5250 appears to use different supplies.

Now have Apple with OS 10 Leopard. Wish to connect Oki c5200n. How can I do this?

I haven't been able to find a solution to this one: there are no Linux or Mac drivers that I've been able to find that will work. It seems that it uses a windows specific driver. I also haven't been able to get it to work with an external drive with print server capability. Only solution is to copy to win PC on network and print from it. Windows emulation might work, but I haven't tried it.

Error -9672 from Epson CX6000 Setup

Hi-

try going to Mac HD then applications then utilities folder, then go to disk utility and repair and verify your mac, then try uninstalling and reisnstalling driver. if that doesnt work, try crating a new account in which you will give an admin rights, then reinstall printer driver to that new account, then logout and return top your regular account and check if its been added.

keep me posted. thanks!
