You can get the actual I pod dock for this receiver or you can get a cable that has 2 male rcas on one side and then a 3.5mm male plug on the other and connect it into any open source on the receiver but doing it this way the ipod will not charge and you will also need to turn up the volume on your ipod so the amp can pick it up

Just brought dolce gusto mini me. Milk flowing out everywhere.

You are not supposed to fill the machine with milk. Just water. It is a pod machine, you put a coffee pod in the slot. Then water in the tank. Push the button and it heats the water then when ready push it again and it dispenses hot water through the coffee pod. In your cup you will have hot coffee with crema. If you have a milk frother/volumiser then you add milk.
If you add milk to the pod tank, it heats up, volumises aka increases in volume and flows everywhere. I suggest you read your manual :)

I would like to add my i-pod to the receiver so i could listen to the music what kind off cable would i need

An i-pod provides a standard headphone level output. The AVR-1803 has nine RCA stereo inputs that will accept the signal from the i-pod. You need a 3.5mm stereo TRS plug on one end and two RCA plugs on the other end to connect your i-pod to your amplifier. Note: Be careful to select a 3.5 mm plug that has a slim enough plastic moulding to fit into the i-pod headphone output. On your amplifier you simply select the analogue input that you have chosen to use. Be careful of levels when you are setting up. Set the volume of your i-pod to about 50% and set the input sensitivity to zero, press play on your i-pod and gradually increase the gain on your amplifier input. Hope this helps, Don.

I have an Optimus STA-3500 Digital Synthesized AM/FM Stereo Receiver. If I buy an i-pod is there a place on the back of the receiver that it can be plugged into? If so, what kind of i-pod wire/cable...

It won't have "iPod" functionality but it can be played through the receiver.

Any audio device that has a headphone output can be adapted to feed an RCA cable pair for standard stereo to any audio device with a standard RCA input (except one labeled "PHONO"). Get a cable like the one described here: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021804&p_id=665&seq=1&format=2
and connect it into any available analog input EXCEPT one labeled "Phono".

I-pod cable for 2008 Santa Fe

car dealers lie and lie and lie...now you know.  Can they replace the radio with the cheaper radio from the Sonata or Tuscon?  Call the area manager and complain.  Or you can burn mp3 cd's that hold about 120 songs each.

Volume varies by itself on the Yamaha htr5840 Receiver

The pod that controls the volume knob is either very dirty or needs replaced! (If you remove knob you will see the shaft of the volume pod go into the pod itself) You may try cleaning with a can of high pressure air by spraying short bursts of air in and around the pod area! If that doesent work you will have to replace the volume pod!...Please rate my response! Thank You!

Yamaha RX-V800 volume knob on receiver not working.

It sounds like the volume control pod has gone bad and needs replaced (The knob shaft connects to the pod main body and the inside of the volume pod is what controls the rate of volume,If the inside becomes worn ,broken or dirty the volume will become erratic) Replace volume pod ! ..You may try cleaning by taking off the volume knob and getting a can of pressure air and blowing the dust out!
