Trying to connect via bluetooth adapter bu10 and the installation asks for a security code

Have you tried 1234 or 0000. These are common codes for bluetooth devices that don't give a random code.

If that doesn't work, try connecting the tablet to the laptop instead of the other way around.

You need the bluetooth adapter that goes in the front of the printer and a bluetooth enabled computer or cell phone. The instructions to set up are on the Canon USA website or they come with the adapter.

Following step by step resetting canon Pixma iP90 :

• Before resetting printer canon iP90, start with printer power off.
• Press resume button coincide with power button.
• While pressing power button, release resume button.
• Press resume button 2 times and then release both button
• Green LED indicator will blinking and then stopped blinking.
• When the Power LED lights in green, press resume button 4 times.
• Press power button and the printer power will off. Otherwise off, depress again power button.
• And the turn on the printer again, your printer canon iP90 should be response as normal.

I don't think that you will be asked for this code unless you have setup one on any of the devices you have.

And the PC in question has a bluetooth adapter? Sounds like its getting to the point where it would detect and connect after clicking finish then not finding the bluetooth adapter to connect to the phone. Another thing you can try is connecting via USB cable to the computer, that will get everything detected and install drivers as needed, then go back to trying via Bluetooth, my Motorola phone required doing that for some reason!

Take to a ink refill store and ask the to test on there machine(cartridge world etc) it will tell if cartridge is good or not! hope this helps!!!

Open/drop bottom cover and slide BU-10 into the left side. It can only go one way in

Normally you setup a passkey or use 0000 or 9999 as a passkey.

The question is, does that pop up when you try to connect a USB device? Do you get that when you try to install the dongle? (That shouldn't happen). If you are trying to connect a PDA or cell phone, you setup the passkey for the connecting device on the computer then type it in to the PDA or mobile phone. If you are trying to connect a bluetooth headset, then you use whatever code is from the manufactorer. Normally this is 0000 or 9999.

There is a place at the front left as you open the cartridge door that the BlueTooth adapter fits in. It goes in with the circuit side going into the hole in the priter housing.
