On the power board you will find 4- 35Volt X 1000mfd radial lead capacitors on the right rear corner of the board all in a row from right to left, the 2 outside capacitors have gone high ESR. This is a common problem with this model.
SOURCE: Problems with my Apex CHKT2A remote
I've seen remote sensors that quit but it's rare, usually due to water getting dripped on them from cleaning. Pick up a cheap programmable remote and see if it will work. Long shot, check the menu, in some sets the remote can be programmed off.

unplug it for 10 minutes then turn it on at the console(not the remore) and hold the power button in for 15 seconds. this resets most apex tv's

so do you think if i replace the power bored in it that will take care of it or no???
well is there a prosses of elemination we can try? i did take the back off and wen it is pluged in i can hear one of those transformer things on the power bored buzzing and the other one does nothing? by transformer its the square thing with the copper wire around it and there is two of them.
so is there a way i can test that board? or just spend the money. it was working great today but it started flickerin on and off but the sound was there then it was fine for like an hour then boom nothing
what is b+?
YEA I GOT A PICTURE.
these are what i can hear buzzin the one in red buzzes but the one in yellow does nothing. the buzzing i going on wen ever the tv is pluged in.
ok guys i was tinkering for a bit here and it seems like wen i uplug the wires that go from the power board to the other circuit board by the black thing that has the one big red wire going into it then that big red wire splits over to 3. wen i unplug this then the tv sounds like its turning on but dont and he green light stays on unless i turn the tv off. here is a pic
im sorry but i cant veiw the picture for some reason. can you posibly email it to me VIA [email protected]
i can see the pic now. so how do i test this? what do i do
yes i can see the circles but now how do i test it?
YES I CAN SEE THE CIRCILS NOW HOW DO I TEST THE PARTS?
SO CAN I JUST TAKE A TESTER AND TEST THE IN AND OUT ON THAT B+?
OK I WILL TRY IT BUT IM NOT HOME NOW SO I WILL WHEN I GET HOME AND LET YA KNOW.
ok so i tryed it and on the primary one i got a reading from 11.01 to 12.58 and in the secondary one i got a reading from 12.25 to 12.60. so is that a good thing? what can i try next?
hi okay i tryed it and this is what i got the first pic is the power out of the B+ and the second pic is what im getting on all the little diodes around the B+
the voltage for the black tubes is rated for 200 volts a peice and the part number for the B+ is SE1352521N. and im getting 6.8 dv on the B+
okay is it a bad thing that the B+ broke off?
