Locked radio ok i just bought a monsoon radio for my 2003 sunfire and its locked when i turn mykey to acessory the radio works but when i turn the car on its locked what can i do?

you need to calibrate it,read your manual

You will need the dealer to help you with this, you need the cde.

check the wires and plugs at the rear of the radio are tight.If all is ok.Then have the radio replaced good luck

there are adaptors that go between antenna and radio that ipods will disrupt the signal and work that way

checek the speekers they may be unpluged.

CHECK TO SEE IF MUTE IS ON

I have come to find out that in the 90's auto makers started installing factory amplifiers in their cars so they could use low wattage stereos in the dash. It's usually a blue wire off the stereo that runs the amp, maybe it couldve become disconnected? I also know that even if you put in an after market stereo, this wire must be hooked up or you'll get no sound from the speakers. hope this helps.

I have a civic and as far as the unlocking code I checked in the glove box and there is a little white sticker with the numbers that I had to put into my radio to unlock.  Not sure with the sunfire though...you could always call up your dealership and they'd probably have it.

I'm not sure if you'll be unlocking anything. I think you may have to take it apart, here is a link so you get an idea.

Just got an update from a dealer that might work...take the head unit out and unplug the power for about 30 sec. plug back in and the unit should basically reset itself. If that doesn't work I'm out of guesses.
