My Bose Lifestyle V20 system won't play audio through the HDMI connections; video works fine. How do I fix it?

OK talked with Bose just a minute ago and they were able to correct the issue.
We disabled the power cord from the back of the media console (where the HDMI cables connect) and left it off for a minute or two.
Powered the media console back on and it is working as expected.
Was told by the Bose tech that the common reason for this issue is due to the use of the HDMI cables that have a propritary security protocol that is used between the media console and the component it is attached to (ie TV, Cable/Sat, BluRay ...ect).
I asked if there was a BIOS upgrade if it was indeed a "handshaking" issue and was told there was not one (yet).
If one becomes available, it will be shipped via mail on a CD\DVD that can be used in a CD\DVD player that is connected to the media console using the HDMI cable.
Hope this helps!

You can only Connect a iPod via a iPod dock
Apple iPod Univeral Dock
and use either
Apple Composite AV Cable or Apple Component AV Cable
based on what Output you iPod Allows.
the list of which iPod that is supported is listed on each page of the AV Cables above.
You can use a IR Blaster Cable with the iPod Dock to control the iPod also.

Below is solution from an earlier post, I'm trying it out now as I have the same issue, system bought in Jan 09. I have received and installed the latest update from Bose recently, now this. Will call Bose tomorrow to fix if they can't they will be getting it back.

I had the same problem, and called Bose tech support. They put me on track to the solution. The code you need is under AUX, Music Player, Apple where you probably looked already. The secret is that you need to "unpair" the apple remote first. If I remeber right, in apple TV you go to settings, general, remotes and unpair your remote. It still works, but is no longer the only remote that works.
