I have had that problem too. I let the battery die and then fully charged it and it worked again. If that doesn't work, then your going to have to fiddle with it or wait for the next person's reply.
On the side of this player there is a very small hole real tiny, once you find it take something that isnt metal and that will fit all the way into the hole and push it on down for at least 30 seconds this should reset the player.
ok look down on your zen u will see a play where u plau it in then nezt to it its a veru very little thing get a pin put it in there then it will not froze
