Why is the Status Light on my Mitsubishi XL8U flashing red? My projector is still working but the status light flashes red.

With out knowing the state of the power LED, my best guess is the Status light is solid red and telling you to purchase a replacement lamp before the current one dies. Attached is a chart that will show you the errors possible depending on the LED statuses:

Powers on for only a few seconds

if the power light blinks and the status light is off, check the lamp door. if the power light blinks and the status light is steady red or blinking green, you have a power supply/ballast issue. you may have to send it in for repair. try www.avsolutionsny.com.

Lamp Meter: Where do I look for it?

On the Control Panel, if you press the up-arrow, enter, and down-arrow buttons at the same time you get the usage screen. The hard part is selecting the three buttons at the same time. It takes me multiple tries to get the combination correctly.
