SOURCE: Kenmore Dishwasher won't drain

If you opened and closed the door and it started, that sounds like a bad, door switch in the console.

But you did hear a hum sound when it tryed to drain, it could be the drain solenoid, or the motor/pump assembly.

Take off the bottom access and look at the solenoid when it starts to drain, the piston in the solenoid should move freely, up and down with the white drain flapper that it connects to.

Also check for bad wiring connections at the power junction box where the power hooks up to it under the dishwasher, i have seen the wire nuts either come loose or burn off due to loose connections.

SOURCE: My Sears Kenmore Elite will not drain

Pump might be restricted, with food particles, check it pump assembly from inside the cabinet, the drain hose also could be plugged, and finallly make sure that the impeller of the pump itself is working

Drain out is done via the pump out motor. Is the pump out motor working? Check by deternining with a AC voltmeter to see if supply voltage is across the terminals in pump out mode. If voltage is present and motor does not spin - the motor is open circuit and must be replaced. Remove the 2 clamps and the 2 electrical push on terminals with the MAINS voltage disconnected. Is the outlet pipe not blocked or obstructed ?

I have an f2 error code on my kenmore oasis washing machine model number 110.2803

HI,
You have a extended drain problem. Most likely you drain pump is clogged and causing your unit to fault out after 8 minutes of attempting to drain.
F02 Long Drain If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and F02 is flashed.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the "Sud" error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

Potential Causes

• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
• Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects
• If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump

Not draining

Remove the lower front panel to gain access to the inside and bottom of your washer. You will see a drain filter between the bottom of your tup and the pump. Before you remove it you will need to hand bail the water out of your tub. Twist the drain filter counter clockwise to remove and clean it out. Note: It is very difficult to get all the water out of your tub by hand bailing so some water will come out once you remove this drain filter. I used a palstic trash bag and put it under the drain filter so when I removed it I caught the remaining water. 9 times out of 10 it is a dirty filter not allowing the washer to drain out and many times you will get a message (SUD) on the display panel. It thinks it is over sudsing and wont drain. I hope this helps you.

Kenmore HE2 Plus error code F21

F21 Is a slow or long drain.
Things to look for kinked drain hose, Plugged or obstructed drain hose, Possible pump filter screen clogged, Least unlikely is a drain pump failure.
The pump filter screen is the most common it gets plugged with lint, coins, hair etc. It can be cleaned by the owner however is is a very dirty messy job and if you are not very careful you can end up with water everywhere. If you want to attempt it let me know. If there is anything else I can do to help please let me know.

My Kenmore HE2plus washer model #110.47532600 keeps giving me the f21 error code. After running it on the drain cycle only I can get it to drain but sometimes it takes two or three tries. Please advise?

F21 error usually means your drain filter is plugged. Typically caused by small items such as hosiery socks and such small things. Remove the bottom panel, you'll see the drain plug right away. Get a shallow pan and place under the drain plug to catch the water that is still in there. Twist the plug off and drain 2-3 cups of water in there and remove all the junk. This is part of normal maintenance that Sears never bothered to tell you about in the manual and you really should clear the drain filter monthly or at least every other month.
