Windows XP does not recognize the Handheld scanner.

We have a psc qs6000 Plus handheld scanner with a USB connection. Since we didn't have enough USB ports on the computer it's connected to, we bought a D-Link USB hub. The hub works with the machine after we downloaded the driver for the peripheral, but now the PSC handheld device isn't recognized by the computer. Can someone help?

My guess is that the USB hub needs to be plugged in ... if for some reason the usb hub doesn't allow you to plug it in then you need to get one that you can plug in... because I believe the scanner is using more power that the usb port can power. Scanner usually need to be plugged directly into the computer or they need to be plugged into a powered hub.

I hope this helps!!!

I have a Dell Optiplex 320 running Windows XP SP2. If I plug in the QS6000 Plus USB Scanner it hangs while booting up. If I wait until Windows has started and plug in the scanner everything works. I have...

Most probably you have only one slot of RAM (a 256MB) if so you will need to upgrade it to more such as 1GB of RAM, the problem seems to be that the OS needs more Random Access Memory to connect with your Scanners drivers and make them part of the system such that you can be able to use it when you log in this becomes a problem as with limited Memory the OS fails to read the drivers and linking the scanner gets interrupted thus hanging on startup as it has other processes using the RAM at the same time and thus sharing it with the Scanner drivers and configurations. After other programs and processes have finished to run and minimal background processes are left after logon then this means more RAM is available so the Scanner can work easily when plugged at this point.

Escanea 1 vez y que como apagado

If it doesn't scan anymore you must reprogram the interface (usb or serial) if it's bleutooth then it is not communicating correctly with the host, check the bind if it must be bound . You cans download the manual from www.datalogic.com psc has been bought by datalogic

Ive got a second hand psc qs6000 plus barcode scanner. where do download its driver.

If you are looking to program your scanner:

USB Interface
Keyboard Interface

If you are using the USB interface, make sure you are plugging the scanner either directly into the computer, or if you are using a USB hub, it is a powered hub.

I hope this helps.

QS6000 Plus barcode scanner

you can not change a qs6000 from ps2 to usb by just changing the cable. the interface inside the unit needs to support usb, to check this look at label with the serial number and if it says "I/F=KBW/RS" your our of luck, and can only use ps2 or rs232. if it says "I/F=UW" then you can just scan 3 barcode from the manual to set the interface to usb
