The player says reading the disc, And the dvd/cd & blu-ray light stays blinking. that's all it does. can you help. Thanks!
There are some reasons that the DVD player can't read your disc:
1. Your DVD is region-locked or copy-protected.
2. The region of your DVD and DVD player is not match.
3. The DVD is been scratched or damaged.
Here what you can do is to remove the region code and make a new copy. To do it, you can seek help from Leawo Blu-ray Copy. It offers you the best solution to copy Blu-ray movie and copy DVD movie without quality loss. And it can also remove region code and copy protection on your DVD and Blu-ray disc.
Probably don't read copied discs, insert a genuine one a try then, and see if it loads

We searched the internet and found out that many people had the same problem as us and the reason for the problem is a defective part. You have to call panasonic and mail the whole unit back to them for the needed repairs. It really stinks to have to give up our player for so long but what else do you do? Never buy panasonic I guess.
I thought that I deleted all of my information from your website when we discovered our problem. Please do not charge me for this. Also please get rid of my info. If I ever do need help again I am happy to try your site. Thanks for asking.

I had the same problem - Fix - Go to the sharp web site and download the file HP21U_HP50U_PN902270. You will need to make sure your thumb drive is no bigger than 4gb and you do not have any other files on it. Once you download the file on the thumb drive, you will need to unzip the file on the same thumb drive. The zip file is one of the new ones, so you might need to go to the web and get a shareware program that will open it. After this - turn your player on and go to setting, next scroll down to update firmware, insert the drive and tell it OK, it will ask you if this is OK, tell it OK and it will upgrade the firmware in about 2 min. I have already done this with 3 other players with no problem. Good luck. The sharp web site is sometimes a little hard to find and to me was not the most user friendly. good luck [email protected]

try getting new av./audio cords and use them it should work then if it doesn't then you need to return it. there is a warranty on most dvd/blu-ray players.
SOURCE: My Blu-ray keeps saying no disc.
This can be caused by a number of different things, some simple ones are:
- Unplug for 5 minutes then replug, this will reset the processor and it may smarten up (just like rebooting a computer)
- Take the unit apart and using a Q-tip and lens cleaner gently clean off the lens of the laser...only do this is you feel comfortable. If there is a hair or obstruction on the lens it will not read discs. If it is still under warranty, send it in first before you take it apart, it may void warranty.
- If the above two do not work then the transport mechanism may be defective and the repair would be around 100 -150 dollars, which is probably not worth repairing and it is best to look at a replacement machine.
Hope this helps!
