I don't think j-Link cable capable of video, at least not with the first generation Ipod Ready Units anyway. Check with your local stereo shop if there is a way to they should know. Please keep me update. Thank you.

The issue is that the 4th Generation iPod takes far more energy to run than your 4gb iPod. Updating the firmware has nothing to do with it. It's the amount of energy/voltage that this new 8Gig unit takes to run. Think of it as a 4 cylinder verses an 8 cylinder engine. The 8 takes far more gas to run. Blessings,

do you have the installation manual,if you have it you are mising to conect a pink wire which is the parking brake wire, follow the sequence step to get the picture.email me i can help you remind me about your problem, [email protected]
The newer generation iPods don't always work with the iPod connection kits in a lot of the car stereos. Some of the problem is due to the fact that the new generation iPods have been changed and the stereos were manufactured before the players were released so they are not compatible. I bought my girlfriend a Pioneer car stereo with an iPod control cable, and it works fine with her Nano (not the new generation Nano) and it works with my iPod Photo 60 GB but it does not work with my iPhone 2G and I read that it is not compatible with the new Nanos or the Classics. Check with Jensen to see if the model you have is compatible with the Classic and see if there is a solution to the issue. It may not be compatible with the new video portion of the Classic firmware.
All I can tell through my searching, is that the Jlink only works on gen3-gen5 ipods. I have a gen 6 80gb classic, and while I can hear the audio from the movie playing, I have no video. Music plays fine.
I don't think you can. I have a Jensen multimedia head unit as well (VS 9311 or VM 931) and it isn't capable of playing two different features at the same time.
The new ipod will not work with anything other than 2008 alpine products. Apple embedded a chip in the actual cable that tells the ipod that it's ok to pay. What you need is an authentic apple video cable that can only be purchased at the apple store...then hook the inputs up to the video input on the radio.
You might need the jenson media module, that might have came with it.Mine did and I bought it 2nd hand.and a special ipod cable that hooks from the media module to your ipod.
