Question about Samsung SGH_D410 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Some buttons get stuck sometimes

I've had my SGH-D410 for three years now. I have taken care of my phone very has never been dropped and have never gotten wet.  I am starting to get frustrated recently since some of the buttons on the face of the phone (exit or "C", up/down keys) get stuck.  I have to press the key several times sometimes for the command to register. Most of the time, however, no matter how many times I press the key, it doesn't work. Could it be that the phone needs cleaning? Please advise.

Stuck zoom button on Nikon Coolpix S6100

Even though you have taken good care of your camera it does not mean that parts wear out, switches just go bad after use. Your camera will require repairs at a shop to correct this problem. This is NOT a user fix.

I have a Cannon PowerShot S2 IS digital camera, about 5 years old. The LCD Monitor and Viewfinder both only show a black screen with some of the Dispay Icons across the top and bottom, and after a few...

A stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, sometimes with lines, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open). To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture. You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter. If so, please see this link for further info and a simple fix that may help.

Phone was dropped and I can no longer use the key pad buttons. other buttons on the front face, eg menu buttons are working.

When a phone drops on the flow it can develop a problem from anywhere in the phone.

You can check the flex of the phone and see if it has shifted from the position it was. After checking the flex of the phone, you can also check the from board where the screen is.

The place that my have caused the keypad not to function will be from the flex of the phone.

Take care.

I have a samsung Steel (SGH-L8 10V) i've taken a few videos and photos on it.. i plug the usb cable in and it wants me to choose one of three says "select USB Mode": 1) Media Player 2)PC Studio...

Select Mass Storage, the computer will prompt you to choose what to do and look for which letter is assign to the phone. Now all you have to do is open the the newly removable disk, search for the pictures and drag & drop to the destination of your choosing.
