Question about Siemens M55

Phone has chinese text!

Can you please help, my Siemens M55 phone is stuck on Chinese text for SMS messaging and I can`t work out how to change this back to English. I have tried looking in the manual, but no luck with fixing it.I would really appreciate any help to fix this.

try resetting your mobile phone to its factory settings. you can access this menu to your mobile phone setting menu...

SMS stands for short message service. Simply put, it is a method of communication that sends text between cell phones, or from a PC or handheld to a cell phone. The "short" part refers to the maximum size of the text messages: 160 characters (letters, numbers or symbols in the Latin alphabet). There is no chinese language in the phone which made me fail to get my chinese text messages(all words were shown as boxes),what can I do for that?

Send "help allow" to 9999. Follow the prompts to enable this feature. Support for this feature may be carrier dependent. If you don't have text messaging, call your cell phone service provider for help enabling this feature.

My text numbers have changed to chinese i think, the letters are still the same but when i go to write a number in a message, its in some other style of writing. how do i change it back to numbers???

When you are trying to send a message...

Tap and hold for about 3 seconds on the text box
This should pop up a box for "Text Input" choose android keyboard

If this doesn't fix your issue...
Go to main screen
Press bottom "Left" button
Tap "Settings"
Scroll to Time and Language
Choose your correct setting for keyboard.
I'm guessing it is set on Japanese/Chinese and you need to set it to English

How do you change the sound for receiving text messages. Cannot find it in the manual anywhere???? The cell phone is AT&T's Pantech Impact, P7000

chinese mobile do not hae the function to change sms tones. if u r having chinese mobile den u cant change the msg. tone.

These phones comes with Chinese mms and sms settings only. You need to set it up yourself. if you want let me know what's your service provider, I have the info. about T-Mobile, but I guess we can get any other information from Google.

Hold down the # key for a few seconds and this unlocks .Had to phone China to solve .

Download these settings or you can restore to factory settings then download the stuff you find on that website, NOKIA and CECT use the same GPRS for SMS and MMS Good luck!

Change text message language in Samsung SGH-U900

Try holding down the # key and a menu should pop up with the various typing styles. I changed mine to T9 abc and it works fine now
