The tv is on stanby and I cannot recode the remote how do I turn the tv on??
In out TV we had to set the PIN first in a separate menu then we were able to use the PIN where needed else where in the menu. Assuming you had not set the PIN before; Of course

If the power button on the TV (or on most Philips units ANY button press) doesn't turn it on, it has a failure or is unplugged. How can you not know this??

My TV was working. I turned it off in the morning and when I returned home in the evening it would not turn on on the tv or by remote.
sony tv model# kv - 24fs100. TV turns off as soon as it is turned on. Standby/timer will flash red. It worked perfectly fine the evening before. I have unplugged everything & waited 10 minutes but still the same problem. Any suggestions?

the tv is not programed to any remote.i just turned it on and off from front button. problem is i hit menu and put the child lock on . what can i do to solve this problem?
