After reformatting my computer I have treid to reinstall the scanner and the software tells me the twain driver is missing. I went to canon website and downloaded the twain driver for the canoscan N670U....

Please check whether your scanner gets detected while connectiNg to your PC. If not please check your cable.Did you down loaded the correct driver that is meant for your OS? Please check. One more thing is the PCB at the bottom of your scanner is getting heated up? Then it canbe a problem regarding your PCB. Just replace it

Canon canoscan lide 90

Hello. I have a Canoscan 65OU portable scanner. It used to give me fits like this, and I would get help from the Canon website. Do you have a disc? I can remember uninstalling and re-installing to get it to work. However, I have a new computer and there is never a problem like that now. I don't even have to load a disc, so I think the newer computers (mine is a 2005) work better with it, and it just pops up for usage without a problem. Try the website, maybe, first. Good luck.

Reinstallation

Always get the original manufacturer's drivers directly from their website. Be sure to select the correct Operating System (like XP or Vista or Mac OS).
