"Disc Error" My LG (LX-D5230) DVD player has stopped playing DVDs, saying "Disc Error" and ejecting every time

Player is fubar - time to go shopping.

Check a CD. If it plays, the Optical Pickup for the DVD is worn out and will need to be replaced.

Since you get this with every disk then the player has failed.

blue ray players takes one to two minute to read the content. it will not read as fater as dvd. give some time and then find out what the player says. error or no disc. also check ur BD's region and the region of the disc u inserted. BD's comes with only one region.

If you get Disk Error only on few CDs, then it can be the media (CD scratched, defective or dirty).

If you get the error on all or almost all CDs, then it is usually because of a lens problem.

You will need to clean the lens.

Sounds like either a dirty or weak laser/lens. Pls try cleaning with a CD disc cleaner or manually using cotton buds (if the eye is accessible).
