Look in yellew pages for a Zanussi dealer, you will need mod number,,serial number, and er number, all of which are on the rating plate found at the front of the oven.

I was baking and steam was coming out of the stove area right below the knobs? what do I do about that? is it broken or is there a setting I can change?

Steam is a natural product of baking but the heat from an oven rising directly to the control knobs on any cooker is unacceptable. Those knobs are not decorative mouldings to make the appliance look pretty, they are a means of controlling the gas valves! I suggest you check that your appliance is standing square upright and level. If it is then I think perhaps you might replace the oven door seal.

The stem/shaft that holds the oven knob seems to be broken--the knob turns but does not turn the shaft. Is this a repair an amateur can do and what part do I need?

first pull the knob off the shaft and check to see if its broken where the shaft is supposed to lock-in if so u jus need a new knob. if not you have to pull the panel off the stove and replace the shaft this shouldnt be too difficult either way.

The knob on my bosch oven does not appear to grip onto the shaft and as such turns continually. I am unable to use my oven as a result. any ideas?

You will need to get a replacement knob for it as either the spring clip or plastic has broken.

Knob on oven is not working properly

The knob is probably cracked, if you can pull it off, then you can try to see if you can turn the oven off with a pair of grips or pliers, if you can, then you just need to replace the knob, if not then you will have have to replace the switch.
