hello When the TV has been powered on long enough for the lamp unit to get hot, it may take several minutes for
the picture to appear on-screen. See "IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT HOT LAMP R
When the TV has been powered on long enough for the lamp unit to get hot, it may take several minutes for the picture to appear on-screen
in the following situations:
• When the Quick Restart™ feature is set to OFF and you turn the TV off and then on again within a few minutes.
• If the TV is on when a short-term power failure, power surge, or other similar power failure occurs, such that the TV loses and regains
power within a few minutes.
This is a property of DLP TV lamp technology and is NOT a sign of malfunction.
If this occurs, the green LED on the TV front panel will blink (and the red LED will be lit solid) until the TV is finished restarting the lamp
and the normal picture appears. If BOTH green and red LEDs are blinking at a one-second rate, you will need to turn the TV off and then
on again to restart the lamp.

I have a 46hm95,have had for 4 yrs replaced bulb 3 times needs another.Any reason in particular why the bulb keeps blowing out?

No particular reason. There was a class action law suit filed against Toshiba for this. You can do 2 things to lengthen the lamp life though. Go into the TV menu and turn off the quick start feature. You should also switch the lamp to low power mode. Switch it back to high power mode when the picture gets too dark for your viewing pleasure. I hope this was helpful.

Toshiba model #46HM95 picture dims and brightens occasionally and just started to turn off by itself.

Replace the lamp first. If that does not fix it then you will have to send the light engine to Toshiba to be rebuilt. The ballast is bad but is not available any more.

Toshiba 46HM95 Buzzing

I have the same thing, mine is the cooling fan for the lamp. If the sound continues for a short time after you turn off the TV then this is the most likely cause as the cooling fan will continue to run for a short time to cool off the bulb. I have looked into replacing mine, the part runs around $50 but I can't say yet how easy it is to replace yet.

Red?Green picture

If you are connected to a HD cable box or sat. rcvr. using component cables, I would then suspect a loose or bad blue connection or cable. If you have Comcast and have their supplied flat component cable this is a common issue.
