My husband is trying to fix the washing machine, and we have DL F code, i know is something to do the the door, but he checked the door and I think that is not the problem!!!!We have a Whirlpool GHW9200lQ please help!!!!! why DLF CODE thanks

DL is indeed a door lock error. The code is generated when the CCU can't lock the door. Possible causes are door latch mechanism, connecting wiring, or the CCU. You could hear clicking from the CCU machine which indicated to me the CCU was trying to lock the door. It tries 6 times before setting the F/DL code.

i think the dl code is clogged water pump,tip it back and you can remove the water pump cover and check it-mike

I think the DL error code is door lock. Carefully inspect ths lock and latch. Tighten up anything loose.

It is a 54.00 dollar part that locks the door

"dL" indicates Door Lock Failure: dL flashes if the following conditions occur:
Door lid is not closed completely due to interference.
Wash media buildup is preventing the lock bolt from extending.
Machine/motor control detects open door lid switch when attempting to lock.
Machine/motor control cannot determine if door lock is in a locked state.
Check for lock interference with lid or lock bezel

to andreya ,,, the code dl means door latch ,,,, you door latch is bad on your machine

to afinebalance ,,,, the f1 code is the control board and it too is going out and it isnt cheap ,,,,

if ya'll want to send me your complete model and serial numbers i will check on the parts for both or you.

sounds like door lock issue but probably not lock itself remove top (3 screws) along back of top ..at rear of machine is control board ..if you are hearing a clicking noise at time door is supposed to be locking try wiggling connectors on control bd if i remember they are the pink wires if door locks then you have a bad connection on control bd may try wedging something under connector to help hold in place but only true fix is a control bd..good luck

My husband and I had this same problem, but after visiting this website and reading through some of th posted solutions, we were able to fix our problem. Our 3-year-old Kenmore Elite H3 would not start on any cycle. It kept flashing the error code "dL/F", which we found out means "door lock failure." Taking advice, we unplugged our machine, removed the top panel, and rechecked the wiring. It worked! We think the wiring may have become loosened over time due to the jiggling vibration of our machine. Hope this helps you!
