Silk epil----Ouch OK let's get honest....this product has wonderful results, but it's incredibly painful!  Is there any method, techniques or suggestions to make this product less painful?  I've managed to use it on one leg, but it's slow going since I find it really painful.Thank you,Jennifer

Get drunk first?  take drugs?  Ripping hair out by the roots hurts!  I never managed to finish one leg so you're doing pretty good.

The first time you use it will be painful because you are pulling ALL the hairs - subsequent treatments will be far less painful because not all the hairs grow back at the same rate, as well as you usually won't get all of them anyway. I think the hair follicle gets desensitized as well - it doesn't hurt me anymore and in fact, it's just a tugging sensation that actually feels good. The only places that remain sensitive are some of the groin areas and some places on the leg. Make sure the hairs are about 1/4" long before epilating - this is really important. Some epilators have attachments to do this step. The first time, have a bowl of ice cubes in water with a washcloth - after you epilate a lower section, press the wrung-out washcloth to the area - it feels really good and will help with the "trauma" to your skin. Make sure skin is dry and taut - loose skin makes epilating more painful as well as you run the risk of catching the thing on your skin - OUCH. You can also try taking ibuprofen about a half-hour before epilating - that may help, too. Make sure you read the manual as well - they usually have tips to make it as pain-free as possible - like moving the epi in the direction of hair growth, stuff like that. I LOVE my Braun and will never go back to shaving - I love the "no stubble" feel that lasts for days.

Why is my epilator not charging?

Same problem. Only after 2 months of buying silk epil 7 epilator, it stopped charging and is not working at all. There is very few customer service centres of Braun in India. So it is very difficult to contact them and show your product to find out the issue.

My braun silk epil xelle is still working but not as good as i purchased it about 2 years ago. it doesn't sound and rotate powerful enough. i want to disassemble it but cant figure it out!

Probably a whole bunch muck is inside theyre (science Project ewe), are you sure you want to open it up? ok... there should some screws underneath the plastic covering but you will need to kind of rip that off and reapply some sticky appoxy after.
