Changing clerk name or deleting clerk name/code

Clerk IDs are mentioned in the Owner manual here. By the way they are shown, it looks like they are programmed from a computer.

Not sure why it needs 'solving' or why they are 'unauthorized'. You program your staff by name, and there should be no others.

Good old machines. Off the top of my head, I think you might need to make sure you are logging in a clerk if you change a clerk name. Some are set up for cashiers so you would need to change cashier name if you log in a cashier

Two choices. You can open the control panel and create a new user account and delete your previous account with the wrong name. Or you can change the name if the other account. If you do that your new account has to have administrative rights and you cannot be logged in to the account you are changing.

If it is a department key, find the department text programming sequence in the manual. It will show you how to enter text from the tables or keyboard during name changes. If it is a PLU key, use the PLU text sequence. If it is a cashier or clerk key, use the cashier or clerk programming sequence.

You have logged yourself out. You need to log on with a CLERK button. If you have it setup by code, then you need to type a CLERK code and press the CLERK button. Otherwise, just press CLERK1 button.

It sounds like you might have used the wrong clerk system in your MAC code. If you use a single clerk button on keyboard, you need clerk code set in the MAC code. If you use the clerk buttons at the top of the keyboard, you need to set clerk key in the MAC code. If you tell me the MAC code you used during the reset, I can see which system you are using.

You can change the Full Name of a user account by going into System Preferences -> Accounts, and then selecting the account, and changing the text in the Full Name text box. It is not advisable to change the name of your home folder/account name however. This is because a lot of files and folders are linked to this name, and changing it will mess with the file associations. If you want to change the name of the account/home folder, I would suggest creating a new account with the name you want, transfer any files, folders and settings, and then delete the old account.

Operator logos cannot be changed unless an option is available. upon downloading the new operator logo ur previous one will be deleted and new one will be visible.
