Maytag MSD2651KES makes ice, the front panel switches from cube to crushed to water ..Acts normal but only water and crushed comes out no cubes
There is an metal arm that extends out behind the ice bucket that moves up and down when you press the cubed/crushed ice buttons. You need to take the ice bucket out and check the hardware. It's possible that some ice has managed to form in the unit and are blocking the motion. Remove any ice and check if the arm moves freely when you press the buttons on the refrigerator. Similarly, you should check if there is ice blocking the forward and back motion of the plunger in the freezer that bar sits on. This plunger is right next to the auger motor.

Testimonial: "The first thing I did was to pull the bucket, clean it out with hot water, let it sit out and dry out over night so I was sure no ice was lodged in the works. And everything is moving in the bucket well I replaced the motor at the beginning of the year. The bucket appears to be fine. I think this may be the solenoid, so I am going to remove the panel and take a look at it."

i suspect a defective liquid line or pump down seleonid coil. just make sure you hear the "click" when it starts up if not the selenoid coils could be defective. also verify that the condenser fan is running, because if not you are short-cycling on high head pressure. please contact if you need any additional info

If it is leaking water in the freezer it will more than likely freeze amongst the ice cubes causing a block of ice.
It is more than likely leaking at the rear of the unit, near the valve or fill tube for the ice, this will run up the rear wall of the unit.

The water inlet valve may be staying open. You
can swap the wires on the dual water inlet valve and disconnect the water line
at the valve which goes to the ice maker. When you try the water dispenser the
water will come out there. When you stop the water dispenser, if the water at
the valve doesn't stop, the valve isn't closing so you'll need to replace it.
If it does stop after trying it several times then the problem is with the ice
maker.
The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice
maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear
it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube
it will freeze. You can take the water
line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

Hello it sounds like the timer on the ice maker may be the cause. If you open the freezer when the fan is off raise and lower the arm on the ice full shut off. listen for a faint clicking noise you wont hear if fan is going. If it does not click the problem is going to be in the actual switch. I have repaired several with this same problem with the switch but you would probably rather invest in a new ice maker or either buy some trays. As the ice makers can cost up to 200 dollars in some models. The only other thing to check is if the water line is bent or crimped off.

What is most likely your problem is the crushed ice solenoid. This solenoid, which is located next to the auger motor behind the ice bucket, is failing to actuate when you request cubed ice. Its "home" setting is crushed, and actuates to allow cubes past the crushing mechanism in the bucket. To be certain its the problem, remove the ice bucket, and tape the door light switch in the closed position. actuate the ice dispenser lever, for both cubed and crushed ice. you will see a square hole next to the rotating fork, when you select cubes, it should open. If it does open, there is something wrong with your ice bucket, perhaps the arm is broken, or the door inside bucket is off its snap in type hinge or broken altogether. If it doesnt open, replace the solenoid
