Question about ViewSonic VX922 19" Monitor Flat Panel
I have a fairly new Viewsonic 20" LCD monitor. It's less than a year old. We were doing some electrical work & hit the wrong breaker by accident while I had my computer running. I rebooted & the monitor tries to start but stays black. None of the wires or cords have been moved but I have checked them. If I shut off the monitor, turn it back on, the blue power light comes on. If I move the mouse & then right click I get a message "no signal analog" but that shortly disappears & it goes into sleep mode with an orange light. I've never gotten any type of message like that before.
Is there any hope?
Your monitor is not the problem. Check all the connections from the back of the monitor, to the computer.
"No Signal Analog" means your monitor is working perfectly, however is not receiving signal from the computer.
Didnt find any loose cables?
Try unplugging everything. Leave it unplugged for at least 5 minutes. You need to give the system time to drain all the excess power.
Again your monitor is fine, blue light > No signal > orange light is totally normal for your montior.
