Hi I am using your wireless adapter and i cannot get it to work. I can go all the way through the installation process using the passwords and everything but at the end it says that my 2 wire wireless is not working or is not plugged in. I have it plugged into one of my usb ports, so I cannot determine what the problem is, i tried plugging it into my other ports and it comes up the same. I am using a desktop computer ans the main 2 wire is in another room and that one works fine. What do you suggest?? jim

Save it to your desktop --->Double-click the ".EXE" file. Select "Run." Wait for the wireless adaptor driver to install-->plug in the adapter -->restart your computer. Plug the wireless adapter in another usb port than the previous time.
This model does have wireless. I had a similar problem a little while ago, I plugged the unit in to a wired connection, and on it's own, disabled the wireless adapter.
Go to start--> control panel--system-->hardware-->device manager
look under the "network adapters", there should be a wireless adapter or 802g something something, right click on this item and click "enable".
You should then be able to browse for wireless networks now.
Did you have a similar wireless adapter install previous to this one? If the software is similar then you need to uninstall the old software so that you can install the new software. The problem might be the old software version is running and you can't write over a file that is running. You can't delete or overwrite it until that process is closed.
Hi, If your newer usb wireless adaptor does not have the same settings as your router this is the problem you have. First make sure you have installed the cd software that came with the usb adaptor without it plugged in. After that is complete make sure the wireless adaptor is seen by the computer it is attached to. Then you need to open the settings of the usb adaptor and set it up same as your router's settings. This includes the WEP security password if you use it.
What you to do first verify that the device is installed properly for that ---
Go to Device manager-- click on Network adaptors -verify the your wireless adaptor is listed there without any yellow or red mark .If you see a yellow mark then you need to install and reinstall the adaptor
Second , You might see an icon for netgear adpaptor in right lower corner under taskbar and you need to Right Click on it , it will show you several options just look for use window to manage wifi or xp wifi client , like that .. sect that option ..
after that it will display a message wireless network detected , click on the messege , you will see your network . select and connect
The Belkin N1 Wireless USB 2.0 Network Adapter might be choosy with what motherboard it is attached to.
