HP pavillion ze2000 laptop has a broken power

HP pavillion ze2000 has a broken power connector. I have to wiggle it then prop/hold it up with my hand while it charges the battery. I want to have my son (an electrician) sodder the pin or replace the jack. He said he could do it if I got him the instructions. He had trouble even trying to open the case.

Are you shure, the connector inside the laptop has a broken connection, or is the cable from power-supply to laptop sometimes broken?

If first reason: It is very difficult to solve this problem, because you have to demount the laptop totally...

No chance without a service manual: Screw by Screw..

I did this to a laptop many times. And after soldering the problem came back after few months. This is a major problem with laptops. What I finally did is jum short wires inside to bypass the part of the board that caused the problem, and never had to open it again. Opening a laptop is not easy with so many screw, and I hate opening it every few months.
