Appear on screen during start by showing <<insufficient system resources exist to complete the API >

Apparently, the problem is caused by the fact that the Windows kernel power manager doesn't manage to find a block of contiguous memory to hibernate. This happens occasionally on systems with 2Gb of RAM.

Here's a copy of it: Download here: WindowsXP-KB909095-x86-ENU.exe

Every time I attempt to log on, I get the message "insufficient system resources exist to complete API. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? What has happened? How can I fix?

"insufficient system resources exist to complete API." This problem occurs because the Windows kernel power manager cannot obtain the memory resources that are required to prepare the computer to hibernate. When you experience this problem, the hibernate feature is not available on the computer until you restart the computer.

This problem typically occurs when the computer uses 1 gigabyte (GB) or more of RAM.

you can fix this problem by downloading hot fix through this link below

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=4cbc68d2-09e1-4511-af14-03f357180135&DisplayLang=en

hope that was use full to you

Acer aspire net book shows system error, and won't start up

Shoot it?
Yes, this is one solution. Not very cost effective though.
(Tempting though, huh? One 12 gauge blast, and.....WAIT! Back to the solution, lol!)

No, I suggest you install the Hotfix from Microsoft instead.

Insufficient system resources exist to complete the api

The computer occasionally does not hibernate and you receive an “Insufficient System Resources Exist to Complete the API” error message in Windows XP with Service Pack 2, in Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005, or in Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. Apparently, the problem is caused by the fact that the Windows kernel power manager doesn’t manage to find a block of contiguous memory to hibernate. This happens occasionally on laptops with 2Gb of RAM. It can be quite annoying when you put your laptop to sleep, pop it in your haversack, then some time later find a discharged battery and a VERY HOT laptop bag , it’s nice that they solved the problem, HOWEVER, you can’t actually download the hotfix, but have to contact Product Support Services for it. I’m not sure if there’s a fee to be paid for it, so I just Googled the hotfix and found a copy elsewhere.
Here’s a copy if anyone wants it: Download here: http://www.u-g-h.com/content/binary/WindowsXP-KB909095-x86-ENU.exe
